It appears you don't have PDF support in this web browser. Download PDF

Brushed In magazine :D PDF file, downlaod is to the right.
I wanted to make a mini magazine type tutorial. I like the format of the pages heh heh.
I'm planning on making a troubleshooting issue with redlines and critique. If you would like your work featured please send me a note with your art!

Hmmm, a little constructive criticism here, but it was rather obvious to my eye that this was painted in values, then colored, before I even saw that it was a tutorial. I'm sure it would fool most people, but to me the skin tones are relatively flat and uninteresting, in the tutorial you show using a variety of colors can help make the skin pop, but that did not come through on the finished product, imo. The skin color bleeds into the hair and is too saturated on the ears. Maybe next time try to use a spicier picture as example so we can really see your techniques, rather than a stock white male with blue eyes.

You are obviously very talented and quite a skilled painter, I'm just not sure if this technique is entirely successful.
